How Does Fireworks & Chill Dog Treats With CBD Affect Dogs?
According to the American Kennel Club, there has been no formal study on how CBD affects dogs. However, what scientists do know is that cannabinoids interact with the endocannabinoid receptors located in the central and peripheral nervous systems. Interestingly, it is thought this helps maintain balance in the body and keep it in a normal healthy state. To be on the safe side, they also state there is anecdotal evidence from dog owners that it helps with a myriad and wide range of ailments or conditions. This can range from helping with arthritis, pain, and tons of research suggests it helps with SEIZURES! Whatever you are treating, check with you Veterinarian if you are unsure.
What’s the recommended dosage?
From our experience, customer feedback has been tantamount to help us figure out how much to take. Conversely, we recommend experimenting with more or less depending on the size of your beloved pooch. So far, the consensus has been around ONE HALF of a treat per 5-10lbs. This can be administered up to twice daily. Each individual treat delivers a solid 10mg of CBD, you can always give them more to produce the desired effects. Keep in mind, edible treats can take 45 to 90 minutes to take effect, so make sure to plan ahead. We highly recommend you discontinue use if your pet experiences any diarrhea or vomiting.
